Opal and Turquoise Les Bernard Demi-ParureIt you like pieces of jewelry that are artistic and speak to you, you no doubt have become familiar with the Les Bernard jewelry line that started in 1936 (under the name of Vogue). This was the company that also manufactured lovely one-of-a-kind pieces for Hollywood. This set is one of my favorites I have had the opportunity to own for a short time, and it would definitely be a keeper if I wore bracelets. This gorgeous set is made with rectangular faux opals and tiny facet cut turquoise stones. The clamper bracelet shows wear to the inside, no doubt due to the use it received from its previous owner. This came from the estate of a stage singer for the Big Bands back in the 50s who was also on the Lawrence Welk show. The clip earrings, which are an inch crescent shape, show much less wear. This set is extremely rare and I assure you that you will receive many compliments wearing it. This was a hard to phoograph showing its true beauty. Estimated book value $500.
