Vintage Marathon locket is ahead of its time in a large size, octagonally shaped, tricolor face that will be in perfect scale with today's fashions. This is a striking design with an engine turned tricolor face that has two large picture frames within that are each stamped, "Marathon". The Marathon Company, of Attleboro Massachusetts was founded in 1907 as the Attleboro Chain Company and was incorporated in 1922 under its present name. We think the locket dates Ca. 1930. The locket bears the initials "MLS" and opens like a purse with a clasp at the top for easy opening that closes with a smart click. Although there is some evidence of age on the back, the locket's plating is completely and beautifully intact, so we are calling the condition Very Good/Excellent. This would look great with a longer gold tone or tricolor chain or worn shorter with a black cord or ribbon. We love the stylish look of this vintage locket and think you will be thrilled to give it another incarnation that has heirloom potential for yet another generation as well. We will place the item on hold for 24 hours pending receipt of credit card info or Paypal payment and five business days awaiting receipt of a personal check or money order.

Shipments with payment by personal check will be held until checks clear.

For your protection, we will ship most domestic orders exclusively via UPS insured immediately upon receipt of credit card approval, Paypal notification or receipt of money order. It is not our policy to profit on shipping and handling. In order to expedite orders and give the most prompt delivery, we are instituting a flat fee of $8.65 for domestic UPS or USPS shipment. Domestic orders over $65. ship free. We can upgrade domestic UPS Ground shipping to Second Day Guarantee for $14. extra.

We reserve the right to ship via The United States Postal Service when shipping via UPS Ground is more than one U.S. dollar over our stated standard shipping charge of $8.65. Our base shipping charge for orders under $65. will remain $8.65 for all orders regardless of the shipper and method we choose. We accept Visa, Mastercard , Discover, American Express, Money Orders, Personal Checks and Paypal. International shipments can be shipped via United States Postal Service First Class with insurance through U-Pic. Email us for international shipping costs. Minimum order $18. US excluding shipping. Overseas minimum order $25. excluding shipping.

Refund Policy

We offer a "no quibble" return privilege. We try very hard to be accommodating and we look forward to your continued good will; however, we must request your compliance with our return policy. We ship most domestic orders exclusively through UPS. REQUIRED # 1: You must contact us within 48 hours of receipt of the merchandise via e-mail or telephone in order to receive proper return address so as not to delay credits for credit card payments. REQUIRED #2: The merchandise must be received by us in the same condition VIA USPS, UPS or FED EX INSURED within five (5) business days of notification at customer expense. If the amount of a return causes the adjusted total of the original order to be under $65, the actual shipping charge (plus any upgraded shipping charges for expedited shipping requested by the customer) will be charged against the credit issued.

COMPLIMENTARY GIFTS WITH PURCHASE: We do include a free gift with every domestic minimum order of $18. We generally do not include a free gift with overseas orders to reduce shipping weight and potential duty or fees applicable in other countries. We will be happy to include a free gift with overseas orders if you wish to pay whatever duty or fees for the gift that may accrue in your country. Simply ask us to include it. Please note that this is a gift with purchase. Following the precedent of many other online dealers who offer free gifts with purchase, we are sorry, but due to rampant abuse, we are instituting a $10. charge for keeping a free gift with purchase when all merchandise purchased is returned.

We cannot be responsible for delays in receipt of items caused by the shipper. Reimbursements for receipt of damaged merchandise or lost packages may be delayed pending decisions on claims in accordance with the policies of the shipper. We reserve the right to refuse unauthorized returns not in accordance with our above policy. We are sorry, but we are unable, under any circumstance for any reason, to honor returns after thirty (30) days from receipt of merchandise.
