Cubic Amber Necklace from GermanyThis is the most unusual Amber necklace I have come across. The Amber is hand tooled into cubes that gradually get smaller toward to back. The largest cubes are 3/4 of an inch square. Each piece also is faceted at the corners which makes the necklace cast a nice shine. It is hand strung and knotted between each bead. I bought this in Hungary from a woman who got it in Germany over 50 years ago. It was obviously well cared for because there is none of the scratches and chips that are seen in many older Amber pieces.
