From my personal collection, this "Made in Austria" signed rhinestone pin is an impressive piece of costume jewelry artistry and execution IMHO. I have often noticed the similarity between these types of Austrian rhinestone pins and those signed Schreiner as having the same quality rhinestones and construction. I have always wondered whether this pin was made by an Austrian manufacturer that private-labeled for Schreiner. Perhaps we will never know. All-prong-set and crafted with superb hook and eye construction in two layers, this stunning brooch features an unusual and quite beautiful palette of rhinestone colors in bright orange and lemon citrine punctuated with bright orange-red. It incorporates pear-shaped and round rhinestones in its modern design. The pin is nearly a square set on the diagonal (picture slightly on an angle) and is signed "Made in Austria" in a rectangular signature plaque on the reverse of the pin. Whatever the signature and whomever the maker, this pin is a standout among vintage rhinestone pins that you will be proud to have in your collection as I have.
